Rick Di Pietro
Rick is a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with Post Graduate qualifications in Mining Engineering. Rick established R&D and his engineering career started in 2003 working in equipment design, manufacturing and project roles for heavy industry and mining businesses. Rick has a substantial list of successful projects completed throughout his career for both R&D and other businesses.
Daniel Masi
Daniel is a degree qualified and Chartered Mechanical Engineer with experience in the design and verification of mechanical equipment for the resources and power transmission industries. Daniel's enigineering career started in 2007 and his extensive background in various industries is instrumental in the design and development of quality solutions for our clients.
Renae van Woerden
Renae commenced work with R&D in 2015. She is degree qualified with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Teaching. Prior to starting with R&D, Renae worked in London for a recruitment agency before returning home in 2012. Renae works as an integral part of our resources business.

Darren Bright
Darren is an experienced Draftsperson with over 30 years' experience in the design and drafting of equipment for the resources, oil and gas and metals industries. Darren has a practical and hands-on understanding of engineering principles and the ability to convert these into detailed designs and manufacturing drawings. Proficient with a range of CAD products, Darren enjoys the development of ideas and concepts through to detailed product delivery.
Dean Dargham
Dean has over 20 years' experience in Design and Drafting, specialising in areas such as Structural, Mechanical, Mining and Heavy Industry. Dean started his career with Joy longwall division before progressing onto local projects within the Illawarra region, as well as overseeing and managing drafting teams.Working alongside local companies within the Illawarra and Interstate, Dean's vast list of experience includes conveyors, chutes, underground equipment and silos.
Mick Higgins
Mick has over 14 years’ experience in WHS, Training and contractor management within the mining and heavy industry sectors. Since commencing his career, Mick has held various roles and responsibilities, progressing from operational roles to supervisory and senior safety & training positions. This experience has enabled him to develop a broad range of skills and qualifications which are utilised in all areas of our organisation.
Phil Brown
With over 45 years of industry experience, Phil has managed continuous paint lines, galvanising lines, underground & surface conveyors, pipe & tube mills, and roll forming machines to name a few.He has managed projects within Australia and overseas including Slovakia, Bangladesh, Guatemala, and Thailand. Phil also has extensive experience in the operations management of pipe & tube mill facilities and conveyor manufacturing facilities.
